Did not read reviews before contracting, I was sorry. They told me delivery in 7 days. I called 6 times and left a message. No one ever called me back. They contract with no-name, low end movers to deliver your goods. This was a primer black rusted truck with no name on it and the crew was in a hurry and used foul language while arguing with each other. Hey, this is a residential neighborhood. Since there is no consistant company handeling your goods, pick-up, transport,and deliver to home they did not care if things were damaged. Go ahead file a damage report- to who? Their cost were same as others, no savings in the price. I would not use them again if the move was FREE. Rather pay the $3500. and get my goods on time and in one piece.
If you use them, don't say I didn't warn you!

This company was amazing from start to finish. Communication was wonderful. They worked very hard to give me the best price possible without ever downgrading or saying anything negative about any other company. Coordination manager was wonderful. We had a projected snow storm coming in and he called me the day before to discuss back up options. We did end up having to bump the pick up by one day but that was OK. When the team showed up in the truck there were roughly 7 or 8 of them and they fully wrapped my big furniture and the TV in the bed and the dressers and everything. It was amazing, they did a really good job wrapping everything. I have a three bedroom two living room house and they were very careful and very nicely paced at getting everything wrapped and put in the truck. Once I got to my destination my storage facility ended up having a problem and had to put me off for a month and they were so easy-going and helpful about needing to leave my things in their storage facility for an extra month. I’m a very picky person and kind of a worry wart and these guys were wonderful I would highly recommend them.

I have to say my move from Maryland to California was smooth sailing thanks to Mid Atlantic Van Lines. My booking experience was great thanks to Frank. He was very patient with me with making my decision on who to use for my move out west. He followed up and didn't provide unnecessary pressure. He moved through the paper work to lock in the date quickly.

When the movers came to load my items, I was even more impressed with Ezra! He was AMAZING to work with. He did a quick walk through of my items. He took his time to explain the paper work to me and addressed all of my questions. Ezra and the mover called me a day ahead of time and the day of. They were at the moving site ahead of time. It took them record time to pack my items on to the truck. The level of care they took to pack wrap my items was AWESOME!

Additionally, my items arrived out west in California in 'record' time and in the same condition.

Service cost: $2200

Theses guys are top notch! Moved my 4 bedroom house from the eastern shore of Maryland to the mid west. 4 man crew had my house loaded in under 2 hours! My furniture arrived in perfect condition and was received the day after I got to my destination.
2 days give or take a couple of hours. Perfect communication with me through the whole move. They knew I was stressed because I was also auto transporting vehicles and shipping animals.

So happy I chose Mid Atlantic Van lines!

Service cost: $1850

They promised everything that I was looking for in a mover and failed to deliver. Most of my stuff arrived a week later than agreed upon. The final piece didn't show up until a month after it was picked up. They weren't good at following up unless it was to make the sale. My boxes were immaculate when they left and arrived beat to heck and covered in I don't know what. My entertainment was lost/found and then shipped damaged.

There's more but avoiding the play by play per rules for posting. Awful company that will tell you what you want to hear and when it is too late to go with another mover you'll find out how screwed you are. My quote was $600 less than the end result. The pickup movers even asked for a tip. Highly unprofessional.

I am retired military with over 24 years of moving around the world. This company quoted me a rate, and when the truck showed up, I was told my move would be $2000 more. The movers took all day to pack my stuff onto the truck, and had to come back the next day to get items they had left because they said they did not have enough room. I packed my own boxes. Upon delivery, the movers arrived with two individuals at 12 noon and left at 12 mid-night, and did not put all of my stuff back together. I was also missing a TV and my 65 in TV was cracked. They did not respond to my emails. I would not recommend using this company.

ATTN MILITARY:

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They promised me weight tickets, which are required for a DITY (Do IT Yourself) move, and when they arrived to my house, they did NOT have said weight tickets.

Weight tickets are required for military to receive compensation for their move. Without any tickets, we literally assume all cost.

That being said, when I gave them an estimate number of furniture items, I guessed more than I would take, same with the boxes. Upon arrival, they raised the price an extra $500 based solely on the description of my furniture. For example, the shipper stated that what I owned is a "chest of drawers" and not a "dresser" and somehow 2 chests of drawers is about $500 more than what I was quoted. On top of that, I also didn't have as many boxes as I told him I would, and I removed a few pieces of furniture that I wouldn't take.. but the cost still raised.


All in all, this company does not respect military as they say they do.. do not patronize them.

On May 8, 2017 I contacted this moving company in order to receive a quote on my move from Baltimore, Maryland to Monticello, Indiana. I spoke to Tom over the phone as he walked me through the process. He then gave me a quote $1719.68. I was surprised by the low price. He explained to me that because they were based on of the same state I was moving from it was much cheaper. After much questioning (I read some conflicting reviews) he stated over and over that the price would not increase and that the reviews were posted by their competitors because they were cheaper. So I decided to go with this company, which was my fault and my bad decision. My move was scheduled for July 1. On June 30 I received a call from the company that there was an issue with the truck and they would not be able to move me on July 1 as promised. After much discussion and hassle we rescheduled the move for July 2. Due to the extreme inconvenience and extra expenses I had to pay to stay an extra day, Tom promised to give me $250 dollars off my price. He also assured me that they would be at my apartment at 8AM July 2. On July 2, the movers arrived at 9AM, 1 hour late. After walking around my apartment the driver then told me that it would be more money then expected and that Tom promised me an inaccurate number. The driver then charged me an extra $676 dollars, explaining that the quote did not include extra fees for packing materials and my units were not represented properly. We were also not give the extra $250 off that we were promised. The driver told me he was allowed to give me the $250 off and I would need to contact the head dispatcher. When calling Tom again he told me he could no longer help me and referred me to their head dispatcher who then told me unless I paid the full amount, I would not get my stuff back. He the claims department can then issue me a check for $250. Once I received my things on July 23, I tried to call the office about the bill and getting back the $250 that was promised. No one will answer or call me back. This business is very unprofessional. They lied about the price that I signed off on, inconvenienced me by switching the day causing me to have to put out more money to my apartment complex, lied about taking money off the price, and now won't return my phone calls. It really is a shame because the driver of my truck told me they are always dealing with customers that were told inaccurate information which makes their job harder.

I recently moved from Baltimore MD to Nashville TN. In general, I'm very satisfied with the service offered by this moving company. The price is a little bit higher than the quote but it didn't go beyond by budget.

The employees are professional. This is my first time moving a long distance in the US but Frank answered all my questions before moving. On my moving day, 3 people came to my apt early in the morning and packed everything nice and quick. I have just received my stuff today and everything is in perfect condition.

I recommend using Mid Atlantic Van Lines for your moving need.

F I could give this company no stars I would. They are THIEVES and SCAMMERS. I had to file a BBB claim against them and it's been on going for several months.

First the guys packing the truck asked me for a tip and I told them I didn't have cash so if I could tip them on my CC and he said no but I could walk to the 7-11 and get them cash.

Boy should I have done that because on delivery of my items roughly 2k worth of items were "Missing" aka stolen. Jewelry, Xbox, Airpods, Bidet, and random small things.

I called immediately, to report these items missing because I noticed. I called Vanessa, the sales person about it she told me that she couldn't do anything about it because dispatch had the file locked. I told her roughly 10 items were missing on a glance. She told me she would have dispatch call me.

Disptach, Ezra called the mover not me. The mover handed the phone to me. Once I spoke to Ezra, he asked what was missing and I started tell him. He told me these were small items and they don't move small items they have to be in my boxes and to take my time looking through my items. He will let me know next week if they find them or not. I tried to explain to him that all these items were in my vehicle and not in my storage unit and were last to go on the truck.

He kept insisting the items are in my boxes. I tried to tell him the boxes that are here are items I packed myself personally because they have my labels on them.

Looking at the manifest it is just generic labels like box. My lamp isn't even listed.

They instructed me to call the insurance company, which I did. When I called the number an automated service picked up. When I chose the option to speak to someone it hung up on me. In my BBB they claimed that they never hang up on people and I'm not interested in filing a claim. I had to submit my phone records to prove I did. Then I had refile the original claim with a tracking number to prove I did.

I recently received a letter from the insurance company saying the movers were not at fault because I signed the bill of lading saying all the items were received. Which in fact it was not signed because I noticed those items missing right away. I've sent a picture of the blank signature field to the BBB proving again the company was scamming me.

So now I'm being scammed out of a refund or check. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

It's truly sad that you put your faith and money in a company and they steal from you.

I just wanted to take a minute to relate my excellent moving experience with midatlantic. The crew arrived for pickup on friday ontime as promised. The crew had my goods loaded within 2 hours. Isral, Hector, and Gilbert did a caring job of tending to any packing needs that remained. I moved from the DC area to Syracuse, NY, and received the delivery the next day. Everything was there, no damage, no problems. If your on a long distance move, I recommend paying the expedite fee for 2 day service. It is well worth it, and you get delivery sooner. Again, my thanks goes out to the crew, and, to Vanessa, who was easy and professional to work with . Rating: 5 stars overall.

I arranged a move for my son from DC to Denver..after receiving many estimates, I decided to go with Mid Atlantic Van Lines because Vic called me many times to discuss the move and give me the information needed .. and provide the move for a reasonable price. I was a little hesitant since I was doing this remotely and had never heard of Mid Atlantic. The movers showed up as scheduled..the price was exactly as quoted..and instead of the contents arriving up to 21 business days, they arrived in 5 days! Communication was great..movers were professional..couldn't be happier!
